1993oil on linen, 84 x 128 cm
(currently in Madrid, Spain)

A very calm tranquil painting reminiscent of Monet's water lilies, despite the dramatic start running paint through a bright red arc visible on the right of the canvas. It was one of the first canvases that I knew exactly when it was finished. I'd also learnt the importance of not painting. When I dedicated time to other things apart from the painting I would notice these things influenced in my work. I began to approach painting in a much more intuitive way.
This painting was chosen to hang for six months in the London Office of Cable&Wireless in 1995.
