One of my first purely abstract canvases. There is no narrative. Layers of painting, more confident use of textures and accidents, letting the paint run. There appears more freedom in my use of paint compared to earlier work. A luminous space where red and green brushstrokes dance together.

Studio space during the second year of the fine art degree shared with two other painters. As one tutor commented it was a very creative space and it was interesting to see how we each influenced each other. Next to me on the right of the photo worked the artist Marilyn Simler.
