Oamaru serpent

After painting at my grandfather's house in Nelson and before heading up to Wellington to organise my exhibition I travelled around the South Island. In a park in Oamaru on the east coast I came across a decorative ceramic wall with the figure of a Chinese Serpent or Dragon. It's face reminded me of this painting hence the title.
